Britain could be left defenceless should Donald Trump pull support for the UK's nuclear deterrent , experts have warned. While the UK has its own nuclear warheads , it uses US-made Trident ballistic missiles to carry them. They are carried in the Royal Navy's Vanguard Class submarines. The UK has full operational control of the missiles, but the current souring of relationship between Europe and America is a cause for concern, and the UK should start looking for other options to keep itself
