British Archbishop fondly remembers interaction with pope

The most senior Catholic in England and Wales was halfway up the M1, on his way to visit a friend in Birmingham, when a journalist called asking him about the death of the pope. "I couldn't believe it," Cardinal Vincent Nichols told Sky's Rachel Venables. "It was a real shock - after seeing Francis on the TV only yesterday."
