Climate tipping points are approaching critical thresholds. Exceeding them will have abrupt, systemic, and irreversible negative impacts on Germany’s economy, security and population and lead to catastrophic cascading effects.  To protect its population and strategic interests, Germany must proactively address the threats posed by exceeding climate tipping points through a systematic risk assessment, strategic foresight, early warning systems, and a coordinated response.
