Call the Midwife fans have been left heartbroken after the period drama was suddenly pulled from schedules by the BBC . This evening's episode (February 22) won't air as planned due to the BAFTA Film Awards taking over its usual 8pm slot. The BAFTAs will run from 7pm until 9pm on BBC One , whilst BBC Two will be screening the Winter Olympics closing ceremony. Following immediately afterwards will be the fresh TV adaptation of Lord of the Flies at 9pm, with Countryfile preceding the awards
