A "depraved" man who raped a doctor over the course of 40 minutes in a city centre alley has been jailed for nine years. Mihae-Nicolae Patran, 34, assaulted the then 27-year-old stranger as she took a short cut through Mitchell Street in Glasgow early on the morning of November 26, 2023. The victim, who did not know Patran, eventually fled to a nearby taxi while naked from the waist down and Patran was later arrested.
