Universal Credit claimants that have been moved from Tax Credits have been warned they risk facing a £100 fine if they no longer qualify for free NHS prescriptions and dental treatment. This is because the earnings limit for qualifying for these is lower on Universal Credit, compared to Tax Credits. Martin Lewis has this week warned that people may be unaware that they are no longer eligible - and risk a £100 fine if they incorrectly try to claim them for free. Tax Credits ended in April 2025
