Ljubljana, 26 March - A bitter dispute over new copyright levies has led Slovenian cinemas to boycott domestic films, drawing strong condemnation from the country's actors' society and leaving producers caught in the crossfire. The conflict centres on extra fees cinemas must now pay for screening films, stemming from 2022 legislation implementing an EU directive.
