Milan bourse up sharply with Trump seeing war close to its end

The Milan stock exchange made significant gains in early trading on Tuesday after United States President Donald Trump said he expects the Iran war to end soon. The FTSE Mib index was up 2.3% soon after the opening of business, taking it back above the 45,000-points threshold. The share prices of banks Unicredit (+4.8%) and Bper (+4,5%) were among the biggest risers. The other major European markets were up too, with Frankfurt, Paris and London gaining 2.04%, 1.89% and 1.14%
