After being tricked by a woman he thought would be his second chance at love, 70-year-old Rodrick Lodge, who was grieving the death of his wife with no family to support him, was scammed out of £85,000 by his fake fiancée who preyed on his isolation. Having initially been left homeless, Rodrick is sharing his story, alongside Trading Standards’ Louise Baxter, telling us how not to get caught out and why we shouldn't be so quick to judge those who have been scammed.
