Greek and Turkish leaders to hold talks in Ankara to ease tensions

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is visiting Turkey on Wednesday as part of an effort to sustain dialogue at a time when tensions between the two long-time rivals are rising. Mitsotakis, who is expected to be accompanied by a delegation of senior ministers, will meet President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the so-called High-Level Cooperation Council — a fence-mending initiative that was launched to improve ties between the two NATO allies.
