Three teens walked free from court with £26 fines despite convictions for the rape and serious sexual assault of girls as young as 14, a report claims. The three separate cases - said to have happened in the North East of England over the past year - saw the boys dealt with in the Youth Courts where there is a greater emphasis on rehabilitation for suspects aged 17 or under.
