China is hosting global political and business figures in the northeastern city of Dalian this week. Some 1,700 participants from more than 90 countries and regions are expected to attend. The key question at this year's so-called Annual Meeting of the New Champions -- is whether frontier innovations such as artificial intelligence be scaled-up to drive economic growth in an increasingly uncertain world.
