Sir Keir Starmer is facing a rebellion by Labour MPs over his handing of the Peter Mandelson and Jeffrey Epstein scandal, as fury spreads across Westminster that the peer was brought back into the fold as US ambassador. Starmer's speech this morning on community cohesion – with a few obligatory potshots at Nigel Farage’s Reform UK – did little to wrest back the narrative.
