Italy funds project for ecotourism in Ethiopia

Italy has launched a 1.7 million euro project aimed at developing ecotourism in Ethiopia and restoring heritage sites in Tigray's Wukro-Gheralta belt, known for its rock-hewn churches and archaeological sites. The two-year initiative, titled "Supporting Community Resilience through Community Tourism and Heritage Conservation," was formalized by an agreement signed by Italy's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Agostino Palese, and Ethiopia's Minister of Finance, Semereta Sewasew.
