Luc Frieden, Prime Minister of Luxembourg, told the European Parliament that the EU can only address the challenges of a changing world by standing up for its values. He said EU nations should recommit to the principles of freedom, democracy and the rule of law. Frieden urged continued support for Ukraine, investment in common defence and support for an open, competitive economy to build a strong, independent EU.
