The US military has released new footage of the Russian-flagged oil tanker seized on January 7. Britain’s involvement in the US operation to seize a Russian-flagged oil tanker in Icelandic waters was “protecting the British people and our nation”, the Defence Secretary has said. The Marinera, previously named Bella 1, was sailing west of the UK on Wednesday when it was intercepted by the US Coast Guard and special forces following a two-week operation.
