Speaking on the events unfolding in Iran and the Middle East, President Metsola said Parliament would continue to push for people in Iran to live in liberty and to choose their own destiny, and that the indiscriminate attacks on Gulf states are condemnable. The security of Cyprus is the security of the European Union, she affirmed, adding that any threat to EU countries is totally unacceptable. Parliament will debate the situation in the Middle East on Wednesday 11 March at 9.00 CET.
