Russia’s domestic drone push is a mixed bag for its war on the West
Government
Russia’s drone manufacturers recently got a New Year’s present: the government incentivizing Russian companies to buy their technologies. On Jan. 1, an order went into effect providing Russian companies with expanded income tax incentives for buying Russian unmanned aerial vehicles. For every ruble they spend on UAVs, those companies can deduct two rubles from their income taxes. On its face, it’s a pretty good deal, especially for those companies hoping to contribute to the state’s war machine.
