Senate could tackle Pentagon appropriations, hold 10th vote on stopgap

Oct. 16 (UPI) -- The Senate is set to vote Thursday on a year-long appropriations bill to fund the Defense Department as the government enters the 16th day of its shutdown over a stopgap funding bill. In addition to the appropriations bill, the Senate is scheduled to hold a 10th vote late Thursday morning on the legislation to reopen the government.
