Alessandro Gaudiano took office today as Italy's ambassador to Prague.     Born in Rome on February 14, 1964, Ambassador Gaudiano graduated in political science from Rome's La Sapienza University in 1987. Following competitive examination, he entered the diplomatic career on Feb. 13, 1989. After an initial assignment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was deputy consul and then assistant consul in Berlin in 1991.     Since 1995 he has been at the embassy in Ottawa as commercial adviser.
