A top pharmacist has explained the symptoms of a lesser-known virus that is sweeping the UK. With cases of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) rising, Superdrug’s Pharmacy Superintendent Niamh McMillan has also said how to prevent yourself getting it. She explained that HMPV is a respiratory virus that can cause symptoms similar to the common cold, or flu. She said it was "a highly contagious virus that primarily spreads through droplets in the air when someone coughs and sneezes". HMPV can also be
