Republican Bernie Moreno unseated incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio) on Tuesday, padding the Republican Party’s likely Senate majority. Moreno’s victory coincided with former president Donald Trump winning Ohio for the third time. Moreno led Brown 50.8 percent to 45.8 percent when Fox News called it late Tuesday night. Moreno's win marks Republicans' second Senate pickup of the night, following West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice's unsurprising victory in the race to replace Independent Sen.
