NATO countries hit 2025 spending target

Europe and Canada raised their defense expenditure by one-fifth last year, according to NATO’s annual report published Thursday, despite a significant gulf in spending across the alliance. In a sign of how Russian aggression and Donald Trump’s browbeating is pushing allies to splurge more on defending themselves, all of NATO's 32 members met the 2 percent of GDP expenditure target in 2025, the analysis found.
