Military manoeuvres codenamed „Ramstein Flag 2026” are currently underway in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Spain. The northern part of the exercise is taking place near strategic Russian submarine bases capable of carrying nuclear weapons. „Ramstein Flag 2026” represents NATO’s largest air force exercises in Northern Europe this year , as well as the largest aerial manoeuvres involving Finland and Sweden since their accession to NATO in 2023 and 2024.
