A 5,000-ton displacement destroyer has been commissioned into service. DPRK leader Kim Jong Un also announced the annual construction of at least two „Choe Hyon” class ships or larger. Newly commissioned vessels seem to be equipped with Russian systems. The North Korean Navy is divided into two main commands: the East Sea Fleet operating in the Sea of Japan and the West Sea Fleet operating in the Yellow Sea.
