Oil slips as Trump tones down threats against Greenland and Iran

LONDON, Jan 22 : Oil prices slipped on Thursday, reversing the previous sessions' gains, after U.S. President Donald Trump softened threats against Greenland and Iran, and as investors assessed the supply and demand outlook. Brent crude was down 61 cents, or 0.9 per cent, at $64.63 a barrel at 0954 GMT. West Texas Intermediate for March declined 54 cents, or 0.9 per cent, to $60.08 a barrel.
