Putin claims West fears retaliation over territory strikes

Federaţia Rusă

Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed on June 23 that Western countries have so far refrained from launching attacks from their own territory because they fear a retaliatory strike from Russia. Speaking to military graduates, Putin alleged that when drones fly into the European countries' territory, Western officials attribute the incidents to Ukraine or technical failures rather than accuse Russia, claiming they do so to avoid escalating tensions with Moscow.
