DUBAI, March 28 : Magnitude, ridden by Jose Ortiz, pulled ahead and held on to beat Forever Young to win the Dubai World Cup on Saturday, as the United Arab Emirates held its first major international sporting event since war broke out in the Middle East. The race at Meydan Racecourse, with $12 million going to the winner, remained on schedule despite numerous regional sporting events being postponed or cancelled due to the conflict that started when the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran.
