A month into the US‑Israeli war with Iran , strikes continue almost daily, hitting Tehran and prompting missile and drone responses across the region. Ordinary Iranians are bearing the brunt. In the Turkish border city of Van, passengers arriving by train from Tehran describe bombardments, blackouts and fear for family back home.
