"Israel had a plan to divide Syria and wanted it to be an arena for conflict with the Iranians," Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa told Al-Ikhbariah TV. He said Assad's fall removed Iran's arms from the region, and Syria has entered a state of cold in relations with Iran.
