An Israeli delegation went to Cairo to try to negotiate the release of slain hostage St.-Sgt.-Maj. Ran Gvili, the Prime Minister's Office, announced on Thursday.The delegation was headed by the Coordinator for Hostages and Missing Persons, Brig.-Gen. (res.) Gal Hirsch, and included officials from the IDF, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), and the Mossad.At the end of the discussions, both parties agreed to an "intensive and immediate effort" to locate Gvili's remains.
