Since the start of the war on Iran, oil prices have jumped more than 50% due to the blockade at the Strait of Hormuz and attacks on energy infrastructure in the Middle East. The International Monetary Fund has warned that the closure of Hormuz could cause an energy crisis on an unprecedented scale.
