Oil prices rise as harsh winter disrupts US output

LONDON, Jan 26 : Oil prices edged higher on Monday after climbing more than 2 per cent in the previous session, as output disruptions in major U.S. crude-producing regions and tensions between the U.S. and Iran boosted prices.  Brent crude futures rose 23 cents, or 0.4 per cent, to $66.11 a barrel at 0905 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $61.26 a barrel, up 19 cents, or 0.3 per cent. Both benchmarks notched weekly gains of 2.7 per cent to close on Friday at their highest points
