The international community convened at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York from 20-24 April for the first Financing for Development (FfD) Forum since the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Sevilla last summer. The 2026 Forum took place against the backdrop of a severe backlog of international financial architecture reform and a growing financing gap for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The aim of the forum was to focus on the
