UK airline operating at major airports enters liquidation as flights cancelled

A UK airline which operates flights at Gatwick Airport and Stansted Airport has been plunged into liquidation. Ascend Airways has cancelled all flights with immediate effect and will now give up its UK Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC). The firm was founded in 2004 but operated under its current name for just three years.
