KUALA LUMPUR :Malaysia's economy grew 4.5 per cent in the second quarter from a year earlier, official advance estimates showed on Friday, sustaining the pace of the previous quarter as strong domestic consumption and steady manufacturing growth offset a slowdown in exports. In the first quarter, gross domestic product growth grew an annual 4.4 per cent, slowing from the end-2024 rate as lower oil and gas production tempered strong household spending and a steady expansion in investments.
