US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the creation of Task Force Scorpion Strike, a new formation overseeing the US military's first one-way-attack drone squadron deployed in the Middle East, according to a Wednesday press release.The task force, launched four months after CENTCOM issued a directive to accelerate the acquisition of affordable drones, is intended to rapidly equip warfighters with low-cost, effective systems.The initial squadron consists of Low-cost Unmanned Combat Attack System
