U.S. threatens 10% tariffs over forced labour concerns

CLARIFICATION (June 3, 2026): Canada is one of 16 countries that would face a 10 per cent tariff. Others would face tariffs of 12.5 per cent. The Trump administration is proposing new tariffs on dozens of trading partners, including Canada, over allegations of forced labour in supply chains. CUSMA-compliant goods would be exempt.
