Decisions to terminate the powers of Lutsk Mayor Ihor Polishchuk and City Council Secretary Yuriy Bezpiatko at their own request are adopted at a meeting of the Lutsk City Council on Wednesday. According to the city council website, it was decided to terminate the powers of the mayor and dismiss Polishchuk on March 25, 2026, in accordance with paragraph 9 of Article 36 of the Labor Code of Ukraine and paragraph 1 of part 1 of Article 79 of the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine.
