Bulgaria recorded the highest annual inflation rate in the euro area in April 2026, according to preliminary Eurostat data based on the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices. Inflation reached 6.2%, placing the country at the top of the eurozone ranking for the month. Across the euro area, price growth continued to accelerate. Eurostat estimates show inflation rising to 3.0% in April, compared with 2.6% in March, marking the fourth consecutive month of upward movement in consumer prices.
