The EU Parliament and the European Council on Thursday voted to introduce handling fees for small packages arriving from outside the bloc starting on November 1, at the latest. The blanket fee, which the European Commission must set, will likely be around €2 ($2.30) per package and will come in addition to a per package customs fee of €3 on purchases worth up to €150.
