It started with an email from my literary agent. “You might’ve heard about LibGen and books being used to train AI,” she wrote. “A search of the database shows that Poe for Your Problems is on the list.” Advertisement I had seen the headline, back in March, in The Atlantic : “Meta ( META ) pirated millions of books to train its AI,” it screamed.
