Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Uruguay will be the site of the world's first electrified biogas‑to‑sustainable aviation fuel commercial plant after Trafigura, one of the world's largest commodity traders, signed a six-year contract to purchase 100% of the facility's output. The plant is to be built in the central department of Durazno, with deliveries expected to begin in 2028. The agreement was signed with U.S.-based Syzygy Plasmonics, which specializes in low-emissions fuel technologies. The contract
