Centre left holds Tuscany in fillip after two losses

The centre-left alliance held Tuscany on Monday in a fillip after two recent regional election defeats in Marche and Calabria. Incumbent centre-left Governor Eugenio Giani thanked Tuscany after winning re-election at the helm of the central Italian region, which has long been a left-wing bastion. "I'm thrilled.
