Poll shows plurality in favour of moderate defence spending increase

Ljubljana, 18 July - A poll conducted by a research centre affiliated with the opposition New Slovenia (NSi) shows almost 70% of those who would cast their vote in a potential referendum would back Slovenia's continued membership of NATO as more would vote against than in favour of raising defence spending to 3% of GDP by 2030. Most would prefer the 2% spending target.
