Italy is committed to promoting a de-escalation in the Gulf amid the Iran war, Premier Giorgia Meloni said in a statement Friday expressing her condolences to France for the French soldier killed in the Iranian drone attack at Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan.     "Italy, alongside its international partners, including the most affected Gulf countries, remains firmly committed to promoting de-escalation," she said.     "We will continue to work resolutely to restore peace and stability in the region."
