Iran halts attacks against Israel after both sides trade worst strikes since April ceasefire

Iran has announced an end to its military operations against Israel — for now — after strikes between both countries reached their most intense since a truce was reached in April. Tehran had fired a barrage of missiles at Israel overnight, after Tel Aviv targeted Iranian-backed group Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut. US President Donald Trump has called on both sides to "stop shooting" and insisted that final negotiations on peace are proceeding. Blake Sifton reports from Tel Aviv
