BBC issues apology as snooker World Championship coverage cut in 'unexpected' issue

The BBC was forced to cut to a wildlife programme after coverage of the Snooker World Championships was disrupted by technical difficulties at the Crucible. A statement from the broadcaster read: "We are sorry for the break in this programme and are trying to correct the fault. Please stay with us we are experiencing some technical faults." Several voiceovers followed before a wildlife show began airing on BBC Two, with it later emerging that a power fault at the Crucible was affecting the live
