Monika Merz is a Professor of Economics at the University of Vienna. She was previously on the economics faculty at the University of Bonn (2001-2010). Merz received her Ph.D. in 1994 from Northwestern University and held an appointment as Assistant Professor of Economics at Rice University in Houston prior to coming to Bonn.Her research primarily focuses on macroeconomic aspects of labour markets.
