Inflation has once again fallen below the Bank of England target of 2% - and to the lowest level in three years. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) level of inflation dropped to 1.7% in the 12 months to September. This is the lowest rate the UK has seen since April 2021 when it was 1.5%.
